-On December 11 the Canadian Pacific Holiday
Train came through Brandon, Manitoba; CP is
asking that people donate to a local food bank
 instead of paying for the concerts on the train.

-‘Tech upgrades thrill small school, staff used $25K grant to buy Ipad minis, other cool gear for Oak Lake kids.’ Brandon Sun December 3rd, 2014.
-Virden Empire Advance featured OLCS students Dylan G, Paul W, Layne S unloading some of the new Staples grant equipment.

November 23 was the last day of deer hunting 2014 and perhaps for 2015 due to a horrible winter there is a shortage of deer in Manitoba.



On Wednesday Nov.19 the city of Buffalo New York had 6 feet of snow dumped on them
